Now in chesapeake and the cape is still not fully open so must wait another day. Are at the buffalo wild wing restaurant with the kids making some take out order.

Road trip update #2
Arrived in Frederiskburg, Virginia, last night under heavy rain and wind but woke up to sun and a good breeze.
The Cape is still closed but officials are assessing the damages now. We have heard that the damages were much less than expected.

Hurricane Irene
Hoping that everyone in the affected region are (and will be) ok this morning.
Our trip to Cape Hatteras has been delayed for obvious reasons. We might leave today depending on the situation down there. Will keep you posted.

Long Beach, August 24 2011
Sorry for the lack of posting here; missed a few days. Anyway, awesome day on Lake Erie, with strong south westerly winds at 20-27 knots. Was on 4.5 with my 86L Syncro. Got some good footage today; better yet, got most of my jibes. This all came at a cost with a nice crash at the end. Great day!
