Surely must have been a good boy this year...Another 5.0 at LS

Early morning session with Adrian this morning at LaSalle. Winds from the WSW. From shore it did not look like much so we rigged 6.2 and 6.5. Mistake, big mistake. Then rigged 5.6 (me) and 5.2 (Adrian). Mistake number 2 for me. Ok sometime but overpowered most of the time. Finally went to 5.0 where it was much much better.

Water temp is down but air is still nice. Not sure if there will be anything for me under the tree Sunday morning. Then again, looks warm for the weekend (and Wednesday and Thursday).

Pre Christmas gift

5.0 full power for most of the session with Adrian this morning. Two hours sailing in mid December at 13 degrees was well well worth it.

The gale warning never realized. Too much rain I think. Returned for a mini session this afternoon with bob but the wind was down a bit.

Gotta remember to take the sails out of the trailer tonight before they freeze.

Some pics to follow.....

Solid 5.6 at LaSalle

Denny, Dirk, John and all others in quest of a good jibe: Okay, I have it dial down, finally. By it I mean the jibe. All it takes is a fully powered 5.6, a 102L board and really really cold water. That is it.

Body all warm, mind half numb and the will not to fall. It works. Made all my jibes today! Adrian was there for a while taking some pics - thanks for that. He came back later on his 6.5 -right on.

As I was leaving, John showed up in his wicked car. We talked about gear and trips. Good day.

NNW at lasalle today

Winds at about 20-25 knots direct on shore. This was nice as we could sail along the shore and be in waist deep water.

The sun was out so it was actually really nice out there. Wish I had my gopro because the light was super nice.

Bob was there and we were both on 5.6 with 102L boards.

That 6/5/4 from hyperflex was super warm. They can sponsor me!

A few pics later....

Beautiful 4.2-5.3 day at Long Beach

It was warm and sunny with good winds. Life is good. Chris, Marty, Bob and I were out today at Long Beach. Was on 4.5/5.0 with my 86L. We are so lucky to be able to do this. Great day. November 18! Go figure.......

Snow squall in Sherkston

A brief snow squall dropped on Marty and I today at Sherkston. Nice to get out on 5.6-6.2 but the wind was a bit fluky.

Strange sights when traveling for windsurfing

Pretty solid 5.6 at long beach. Very south this morning so was sailing point to point which was nice.

Had to leave when bob, dirk, Matt, Adrian were just ready to go out and Marty was on his way.

Can't wait to see how it went.

In orangeville now for dillon's hockey game. Go falcons go.....

Crazy winds and super warm day

This one was great.

Met Chris and Matt at Long Beach. Winds were super strong at 25-30 knots SW, overpowered on the 4.5, with huge waves out. Had to bail at noon but ended up at LaSalle on Lake Ontario for one hour on the 5.0. It was so warm.....

Sun, hail, wind

Sherkston was good to us today. Chris and Marty were there on this chilly day. The wind was a bit fluky on the inside but solid out. 5.6 was my sail of choice.

Good day! Some pics of Marty

Solid today at lakeside park!

Winds from the ne at 17-23 knots, steady. Started on the 6.2 and 102l but quickly rigged down to 5.6.

Something really neat and new at lakeside. There seems to be a shallow spot perhaps half a mile out were the waves are breaking. Lots of fun in there. Much like the play area at long beach.

Before that spot, big ramps. After, more ramps.

Put the new hyperflex amp 6/5/4 suit to the test. Ultra warm with little to no water coming in! On sale for 199 at a shop in the states.

Had to wear gloves today, sad. Almost did a downwinder to neal's to say hi but realized in time he would not be there. Wonder where he is....

5.0-6.0 at Long Beach

Nice one again today with winds from WSW. Lots of folks in Cape Hatteras this week because just the three of us were out!! Hope you are all having a great week. The water is a bit cooler but the air temp was nice and warm today (13-14 degrees). The water level is low which makes it easy to drive to side road 28 (the gates are still open - just wanted to test it out). Parked and rigged right on the beach! A few photos:

Another one at Sherkston!

West winds 22-29 knots, on the 5.0 most of the day.

This was a greta one. Marty, Steve and Adrian were there plus a few more. Super steady and no gusts, nice waves and ramps. Lots of fun....

Huge at Victoria avenue!

3.6 to 4.2 with Henry and Marty. Steve was also there kiting.

ENE winds at about 25 to 33 knots with huge waves out and easy launch. 5 out of 6 days on 4.5 or 4.0, not bad:)

Here are a few pics of Henry, Steve and Marty

Too windy at sherkston, ended at Ls

Finished the long four day weekend just like it started, on a 4.5.

Sandwiched in the middle were two 4.0 days. I like this sort of weekend.

Sherkston was lit up today with guys overpowered on 3.4 and 3.7. Guess I need a new smaller sail.
